AROUND TOWN & THE WORLD

The entertainment industry has changed. Post covid we’re no longer auditioning in person. Self Taping is the permanent law of the land. What’s an artist who thrives off human contact to do…travel! The positive spin of self taping…you can record anywhere in the world. In that regard, I’ve attended The Grand Slams in Paris, London and NYC. I’ve visited friends in Spain, got food poisoning in Mexico and had the adventure of my life in Africa. Specially, Uganda, Tanzania, Kenya and South Africa. It was in Kenya that I received a private naming ceremony by the Elders of the Masai Tribe. I received a new name and a new purpose in life. I’m proud to present…NAMUNYAK. It means…The Blessed One.

Coincidentally, the day before my naming ceremony I visited a school in Kenya. After seeing the less than comfortable conditions the students happily endure to get an education, I decided to make it my life’s purpose to raise money for The Enkereri Primary School in Kenya. I found out later, that the girl’s dormitory is called NAMUNYAK. This confirmed that my mission was on purpose. My first task is to raise money for a proper restroom. Below is a video of the current restroom.

Please enjoy a few photos of my journey to become NAMUNYAK. I learned how to shoot a bow/arrow from the Batwa Tribe, kissed lots of adorable babies, went on safari, hot air ballooned over the Serengeti and hung out with gorillas in the rain forest. God is good.
